Over the last 43 years, PLCCA has expanded its reach to include more of the Chicago Metropolitan area. We currently oversee more than 30 programs serving over 30,000 annually. PLCCA enriches the lives of our residents through support services that include Children & Youth Family Services, Senior Services, WIC, LIHEAP and Family Case Management; Affordable Housing Assistance; Education Enrichment Classes such as GED, ESL Computer IC3 Certification and Financial Literacy training; Substance-Abuse and Mental Health Counseling Services. This winter PLCCA will be opening our new Turning Point Health Center that provides access to the following: pediatrician, psychiatry, OB/GYN, podiatry, family practioner and dermatology.
At PLCCA we are committed to being a one stop environment offering a full range of programs and services to promote empowerment and self-sufficiency.

New & Innovative Programs
Empowering Youth Through Technology offers classes and workshops in computer hardware and software, graphic arts, webpage design, cinematography, photography, studio recording (sound engineer, sound technician, music software), and disc jockeying. Empowering Youth Through Technology utilizes strategies that assist youth to maximize their potential and achieve their goals through the various uses of technology.

PLCCA is now offering the IC3 (Internet and Computing Core Certifiicaton) program that is designed to teach individuals the digital literacy skills associated with basic computer & internet use. IC3 is the first computer certification to be recognized by the National Skill Standards Board. The IC3 certification is awarded to those individuals that take and are able to pass three separate exams, titled Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications and Living Online.
PLCCA is the only Internet Computer Core Certification (IC3) testing center in the Proviso Township and western Cook County area and is honored to announce our first successful IC3 certified candidate Mr. Hervin Robinson, Jr.

On November 4, 2011, PLCCA, Inc. received a $10,000 grant from The Comcast Foundation in support of the Empowering Youth Through Technology Program.
On September 15, 2011, PLCCA, Inc. received a donation for $2615.00 from the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in support of our Food Pantry that distributes food weekly to the community.
